About New Nepal Society Center

NNSC is an NCRC-recognized childrenтАЩs home in Sirutar, Bhaktapur committed to sound upbringing and protection of vulnerable children for their greater good.

New Nepal Society Center

New Nepal Society Center (NNSC) is a non-profit organization and children's home based in Sirutar, Bhaktapur. Established in 2007 through the collective effort of seven people who later became the board members of NNSC, the organization was formed to function as a public welfare non-profit social organization. At the time, a total of 12 children were part of the NNSC children's home.

2007

After its registration in 2007, the functioning of the organization was in a challenging state. In 2013, with the appointment of new board member Kamal Bhattarai as the secretary, NNSC was driven into long-term project planning and functionality oriented towards building a children's home, giving space for the programs we have today.

2016

Himalaya Friends e.V. began supporting NNSC, with their support directed towards the quality education of the children in the home. This led NNSC to expand on its other objectives, including children rescue, various enrichment programs for the children at home, and easy access to education for children from underprivileged families.

2022

NNSC started with the presidency of Kamal Bhattarai. The children's home requirement was formally fulfilled. Through registration amendments, newer objectives were added, and the structure of the children's home was built, leading to NNSC's registration as a functioning Children's Home approved by the Nepal Children's Rights Council (NCRC).

2023

The children's home location was changed from Baneshwor to its current location at Sirutar, Bhaktapur. This location allowed ample space for the children to focus on different enrichment activities within and near the house area. The year also marked the beginning of NNSC's continued donor relationship with Chance for Nepal and Himalayan Children Future Funds.

2024

Agricultural activities within the space were started to make organic produce accessible for the home as well as generate additional income utilizing the resources available to us.

Today

NNSC has thoroughly objective-based operational activities running smoothly. As a NCRC-recognized Children's Home, NNSC is actively working towards scaling its facilities so that it can expand the capacity of the home in supporting other needy children.

тАЬI have been here for 11 years. I came to the home when I was 6. I have a deep interest in art, and want to be an artist in the future. Looking back, my life wouldnтАЩt have been as easy as it is today if it wasnтАЩt for NNSC.тАЭ
